Junius Dotson, who is the General Secretary for Discipleship Ministries, which is an international agency of The United Methodist Church. On June 12, the last day of the 2016 Rocky Mountain Annual Conference Session, a service of Ordination and Commissioning was held with guest speaker Rev. Dr. Hugo Magallanes. Nine people were commissioned, six people were ordained (2 deacons, 4 elders) and 10 local licensed pastors were recognized. There was also a reading of appointments for the next year.

The night of June 9 of the 2016 Rocky Mountain Annual Conference Session, a worship service was held "Celebrating the Saints, Baptism and Communion." The cups of water used to remember deceased clergy and spouses was poured into a font for the baptism of Evangeline Ann Lillie. The preacher for the memorial service was Rev. Deb Olenyik.

The Altaee family fled to the U.S. following war and unrest in Iraq and are now attending Christ Church United Methodist in Denver, Colorado.
